    Ferroalloys accompany Feralpisalò’s promotion to serie B

    We are proud to celebrate the promotion to Serie B of the Italian football league with the Feralpisalò club. Here’s why.

    It is no secret that our company is among the key supporters of sports and social projects on the territory, with the objective of becoming a reference point not only in the ferroalloy market, but also for the generations of tomorrow; and this year, our support has helped Feralpisalò make its long-standing dream come true.

    With two days in hand and 19 games won, the “Leoni del Garda” have been promoted to Serie B of the Italian football league, demonstrating to everyone how the values we share can lead to the achievement of important goals. These values are:

    Determination

    At Al.Fa. Laminati we are experts in ferroalloys and steel, and we know how to recognise those who have what it takes to overcome difficulties. We have watched Feralpisalò and its players and acknowledged the commitment and determination of those who set themselves a goal and are willing to do everything within their power to achieve it: a modus operandi that also characterises our employees, who are always ready to do their utmost to meet the demands of our customers.

    Trust

    Today we are celebrating a huge milestone, but as Al.Fa. Laminati we have been supporting the company for years and have also shared disappointing moments with both fans and players.

    Building trust based relations that stay strong even in difficult moments, is one of the key cornerstones of our corporate philosophy, a value that has enabled us to build decade-long partnerships with both suppliers and customers.

    Commitment

    Nothing happens by chance. The promotion of Feralpisalò to Serie B is the result of commitment and consistency, both on the part of the players and the club.

  • The NO War shirt returns to the Turina Stadium

    The NO War shirt returns to the Turina Stadium

    After winning the No War shirt auctioned to support Ukraine, our Angelo Medici gifts it to the Turina Stadium. Find out more.

    It has been 8 months since March 14 when the forward Simone Guerra playing for Feralpi Salò decided to wear a special shirt to show the support of the entire team against the war in Ukraine.

    That number 17 NO War shirt, which had brought luck with a 3-0 win by the Leoni del Garda against Triestina, was auctioned a few days after the match during a fundraiser event specifically for the Ukrainian population affected by the war. It was won by our CEO, Angelo Medici, who has always been a sponsor of the team from Salò and a supporter of sports and social projects on the territory.

    An heirloom shirt that will remain at the Turina Stadium

    Last Saturday, 12 November 2022, the Leoni del Garda once again walked onto their home pitch, this time to play against Lecco, and Angelo Medici took the opportunity to return the NO War shirt to the Turina Stadium and leave it as a heirloom for future generations.

    Our CEO believes it is essential to raise awareness among fans and players concerning the delicate political situation we are experiencing in Europe, and the idea of returning the NO War shirt to Feralpi Salò is intended to be a concrete symbol of how sport can convey healthy values of cooperation and collaboration.

    A choice that, once again, demonstrates Angelo Medici’s affection for the territory, pushing the boundaries of profits and purely economic motivations whilst making a tangible contribution to the market and society of tomorrow.

  • Ready to deliver ferroalloys

    Ready to deliver ferroalloys

    We have ferroalloys in stock and ready to deliver to foundries and iron and steel companies throughout Europe. Discover our logistic procedures and the quality of our service.

    We are currently experiencing a period of severe economic instability and even the supply of ferroalloys has also been affected. In recent months, a number of enterprises in our industry have had difficulty procuring materials, and the costs of raw materials and energy are making for extremely tough times. However, our in-house organisation allows to face these periods with no delays in deliveries to our customers. Here’s why.

    • We can count on international partners

    Our company has been operating in the ferroalloys industry for over 30 years and, while we are still an all-Italian enterprise, we have established successful partnerships with companies across the world. We have access to several procurement channels in North and Central Africa, in Eastern Europe and in the Far East, and this means we can rely on a constant supply of ferroalloys even during the toughest times.

    • We operate a forward-looking approach

    Our inventory management has always been based on efficient and smart work organisation. Our wisely calculated investments allowed us to procure our raw materials ahead of time, and maintain sufficient stocks to supply to foundries and iron and steel companies throughout the year, even when the industry was put to the test due to the lack of supplies.

    • We provide customised supplies

    Another key strong point of our work organisation is our ability to deliver bespoke sizes and packaging that meet the demands of our customers. This has enabled us to manage our inventory and distribute our products in a contemplated manner, meeting the demands of all our customers and without forcing foundries or iron and steel companies to create their own stock in-house.

    Do you need to order ready to deliver ferroalloys and you don’t have a supplier?

  • We have been UNI EN ISO 9001 9001 certified since 2003

    We have been UNI EN ISO 9001 9001 certified since 2003

    We view UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 as a means of defining our quality and environmental policy aimed at fully meeting all customer demands and requirements.

    We view our Quality System as the “quality pledge” acting as the core element around which our entire organisation operates, and with which management highlights its committed towards internal and external stakeholders. This is what this actually means.

    1. Customer satisfaction

    The customer plays a key role in the success achieved by AL.FA Laminati. Internal customer satisfaction is also accomplished thanks to personnel reviews and refresher programmes on product related aspects.

    External customer satisfaction is pursued by providing and adapting all corporate processes to meet their particular needs, identified by monitoring both cultural progress and also the achievement of objectives agreed during the contract negotiation phase.

    2. Goals and Objectives

    Our customer satisfaction achievement commitment focuses on:

    • Promoting a quality “culture” throughout the company;
    • Assigning a central role to external and internal customers regarding improvement strategies and processes;
    • boosting the awareness and collaboration of our employees when establishing quality system improvement goals and development plans;
    • striving to achieve optimisation of corporate processes aimed at accomplishing the highest possible level of efficacy and efficiency;
    • improving our modus operandi with a view to preventing any service inefficiencies;
    • ensuring conformity with all occupational health and safety regulations;
    • defining a structured framework of quality objectives which is reviewed on a regular basis.

    3. Integrity and Professional Expertise

    By achieving these objectives involving all members of personnel, we aim to create a company that is highly customer-focused, boost market effectiveness and make customer satisfaction the key differentiating element in such a highly competitive market.

    As far as ISO 9001:2015 certification is concerned, simply presenting an efficient management policy is by no means sufficient; it is necessary to be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain its consistency over time.

    AL.FA Laminati passed its first ISO 9001:2015 certification audit on 30 September 2003 and for nearly 20 years we have maintained the necessary standards to continue to be a certified enterprise: a guarantee of integrity and reliability for companies that decide to work with us as their ferroalloys supplier.

  • The REACH directive for Ferroalloys

    The REACH directive for Ferroalloys

    Our ferroalloys are delivered with REACH safety data sheets. What does this actually mean? What does it guarantee to the steelworks and foundries? We talked about this in this article.

    The Reach certificate is a document that attests to the conformity of companies with a specific health and environmental protection directive. The precepts envisaged by the Reach directive can be applied to different industrial sectors and, on the ferroalloys market, supplying material including Reach safety data sheets has become synonymous of quality, reliability and trustworthiness of the supplier.

    Here are some further details on what the Reach directive envisages and the advantages obtained by the steelworks and foundries that purchase ferroalloys with safety documents.

    What is the Reach directive

    The Reach directive is a regulation adopted by the European Union to improve the work environment and the health of workers who come into contact with chemical substances.

    It applies to every merchandise sector that envisages the use of chemical substances, from industry to goods of common use, such as the sectors of household appliances and household cleaning products, and this is why it affects the majority of European enterprises and the ferroalloys market is not excluded.

    What does the Reach directive envisage for ferroalloys

    The Reach directive envisages a code of conduct that companies are required to adopt concerning the use and disposal of chemical substances. Findings, it also recommends less dangerous substances that can be used as alternatives to those currently in use, in order to achieve the same results with a lower environmental impact and less risk to the health of workers.

    Companies that adopt the Reach directive must trace the chemicals used, indicating how they are used and how they will be disposed of, and must communicate their procedures to ECHA, the body that supervises the application of the Reach directive, which attests to whether or not the materials can be considered safe for health aspects and the environment.

    The advantages of having Reach certified ferroalloys

    Purchasing ferroalloys with a Reach safety data sheet is equivalent to a guarantee of quality and safety for every steelworks or foundry.

    First and foremost, Reach certified ferroalloys are supplied with all the documentation that attests to the chemical substances present and any possible risks; this puts the steelworks and foundries in a position to put in place suitable production processes and safeguard the health their workers.

    Secondly, working with a supplier of Reach certified ferroalloys means being able to rely on a trustworthy company, which truly cares about the health of its workers and the environmental impact of its business, and which, year after year, is committed to finding less dangerous and higher performing solutions. In other words, a supplier of ferroalloys that one can depend on and with whom it is possible to establish lasting collaborations and mutual esteem.

    Do you wish to purchase ferroalloys with Reach Safety Data Sheets to safeguard the health of your workers and the environment?

  • Just-in-time ferroalloys: our logistic process

    Just-in-time ferroalloys: our logistic process

    Ready to use ferroalloys without the need to create your own stock in-house. Discover our just-in-time delivery service and contact us for further details.

    We have been operating in the iron and steel industry for over 30 years during which we have fine-tuned an efficient logistic process which allows us to guarantee consistent deliveries of ferroalloys to optimise the work procedures of our customers, to maintain low in-house stock without interrupting production plant operations. Below are further details on our just-in-time logistics for the supply of ferroalloys.

    How the just-in-time logistics for ferroalloys actually works

    Just-in-time logistics applied to the iron and steel industry, and in particular the supply of ferroalloys, envisages quarterly orders of materials which are not delivered immediately to the customer, but are stored in our 45,000 sqm warehouse.

    Here the ferroalloys are inspected to guarantee their quality, they are screened and crushed if special sizes are required, packed in big bags if the service is requested and remain ready to despatch until the steelworks or foundry submit a delivery order.

    Deliveries of materials

    The delivery of the ferroalloys to our customer facilities only takes place when the material is actually required. This can take place at scheduled time intervals, e.g. once a week, or upon request: with a simple phonecall the ready to use materials stored in our warehouse on behalf of a customer are ready to be despatched to the relevant production facility!

    The advantages of just-in-time logistics for the iron and steel industry

    Thanks to our logistics set-up, steelworks and foundries can always count on the stock in our warehouse, with the certainty of always having materials ready for delivery to their facilities.

    This optimises the space and costs required to manage a warehouse at a customer’s facility and, at the same time, provides a guarantee for the delivery of the raw materials, because we are always ready to delivery the materials as soon as they are required for production.

    Putting a just-in-time logistics system in place requires a dynamic and well-structured internal organisation, but in AL.FA Laminati we can also count on a team which is able to provide an impeccable service to customers and consistently punctual, or rather “just-in-time” deliveries.

    Do you want to optimise your warehouse inventories without creating ferroalloy stocks for your production requirements?
